The Joyful Servants is a youth group whose focus is on helping others and making our community a better place for all. Youth in grades 6 through 12 meet on Sunday mornings at 9:00 am to share in devotions and discussions on how to live in today’s world according to God's word.

We are involved in Teens Opposing Poverty, which is a United Methodist youth ministry that has groups across the state. Every 6 to 8 weeks we visit the MLK Plaza in Newport News where we provide lunch prepared by the youth and offer clothing and blessing bags. Most importantly, we pray with and for the people and offer hope through our ministry.

We enjoy hosting a lemonade stand for CHKD to raise awareness of childhood cancer and ringing the bell for the Salvation Army at Christmas. We are always looking for new ways to be involved in helping others. We also enjoy volunteering at church helping with Noah's Park and the H.E.L.P. A Night’s Welcome program.
